Life can take you in many directions. It can, at times, break you. It can also bring you an unlimited amount of opportunities. What is more important is your response. What drives you? What motivates you? How do you get back up after you fall?
Do you feel like you are stuck in a cycle of comfort – not readily willing to change because you don’t want to take risks?
Often the best way to make long-term impacts on ourselves and others is to take small steps towards a larger goal. Take some time to reflect on what it is you value in life and what it is that you still want to get out of life that you have yet to accomplish.
Wanting to donate some time to the needy? Work with shelter dogs? Be a mentor or positive influence in a child’s life? Or it could be something as simple as starting to pick up a small amount of litter from your local road. Breaking large, seemingly insurmountable goals into small chunks that can be chipped away at on a daily or weekly basis is the best way to align with your purpose.
Seeing consistent progress over the course of even a month or two, can motivate you to expand your goals. Change your goals. Adjust and shift your mindset into bigger thinking. This is the route to making your lasting impact on this world.
Stay focused. Stay happy. Stay positive. Keep plugging away!
